Shipping Terms & Conditions
- Contract of Carriage: The contract of carriage is established between the shipper and the carrier when the shipment is accepted for transportation. It is governed by the laws of the UAE.
- Freight Charges: Freight charges for shipping goods are based on various factors such as weight, volume, distance, and mode of transportation. The shipper is responsible for paying the agreed-upon freight charges.
- Shipment Packaging: The shipper is responsible for properly packaging the goods to ensure their safe transportation. Packaging must comply with relevant UAE regulations and be suitable for the mode of transportation and nature of the goods.
- Customs Documentation: The shipper is responsible for providing accurate and complete customs documentation for the shipment in accordance with UAE customs regulations. Any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the UAE authorities are the responsibility of the shipper or consignee.
- Dangerous Goods: If the shipment contains dangerous or hazardous goods, the shipper must comply with UAE regulations for the transportation of such goods. This includes proper classification, packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Delivery and Transit Times: The carrier will make reasonable efforts to deliver the shipment within the agreed-upon transit time. However, transit times may vary due to factors beyond the carrier’s control, such as customs clearance, weather conditions, or unforeseen events.
- Liability and Insurance: The carrier’s liability for loss, damage, or delay to the shipment is typically limited in accordance with UAE laws and international conventions. It is advisable for the shipper to consider obtaining cargo insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
- Claims and Disputes: In case of loss, damage, or delay to the shipment, the shipper must notify the carrier in writing within the specified time period, as per the terms and conditions of the carrier. Disputes related to the shipment may be subject to arbitration or legal proceedings in accordance with UAE laws.
- Force Majeure: The carrier is not liable for any delay, loss, or damage caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, strikes, or governmental actions. Such events are considered force majeure and may exempt the carrier from its obligations.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction: The shipping terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the UAE. Any disputes or legal actions arising from the shipment shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts.
